This is my first time-limited project that took 6 months to shoot around the city of Chicago (January through June 2013).
This is a tribute to the time I spent as an exchange student (from Milan) in Chicago, "My Home Away from Home," which was probably the best months of my life. I spent every day walking around the city, looking for the most beautiful places and trying to sneak on as many skyscrapers as I could. I did everything I could to get the best picture, which was always an adventure!
I tried to capture in about 4 minutes about the magnificent architecture of this city, its incredible urban spaces, the power of the public transport network and the vitality of all people. In the end, I'm trying to convey to those watching this video just some of the experiences and feelings I had during the best months of my life.
400GB pictures taken with the humble Nikon d3100 and a simple 18-55 lens on the Manfrotto MKC3-H01.
