Nondalton's fishing village in Alaska is 14 miles from the giant proposed Pebble Mine area. Water moves from the area to the lakes and streams surrounding the village, supporting millions of spawning salmon and indigenous fish populations in the area. Residents are concerned that a mine operating in this wet place will forever destroy the environment and the salmon rounds on which they depend.
