Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 18th Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit on January 18 in the presence of five heads of state as well as more than one hundred diplomats and captains of the country's industries.
Mr Modi will pay a two-day visit to the state on January 17 and 18 for the summit and other programs and events.
Following the inauguration of the main session, the Prime Minister will also participate in a round table with financial experts and general directors of sovereign wealth funds regarding investment opportunities in the country.
According to details provided by the Secretary-General of Gujarat, Dr. JN Singh will attend the summit with the Heads of State of Denmark, the Czech Republic, Uzbekistan, Rwanda and the Republic of Malta. Mr. Modi will hold individual meetings with leaders on the sidelines of the event before hosting them at a dinner on January 18th.
Before dinner, Modi will participate in a "round table" with heads of global sovereign wealth funds, pension funds and institutional investors to discuss investment opportunities in various sectors in India.
One day before the main event on January 18th, the PM will open Dynamic World Trade Fair in Gujarat which involves several hundred companies from across the country.
Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Rwandan President Paul Kagame, Prime Minister of Denmark Lars Lokke Rasmussen, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babis and Prime Minister of Malta Joseph Muscat have confirmed their presence at the World Summit at about a dozen countries participated. as partner countries.
As part of the Vibrant Gujarat Investment Summit, the Government of Gujarat, in consultation with the Ministry of External Affairs, is organizing the "Africa Day" with the presence of more than a hundred diplomats and public figures of African nations.
This is the second such engagement of the Government of Gujarat with African countries following the annual general meeting and the African Development Bank conference in May 2017.
"India and African countries have tremendous opportunities for growth by strengthening their trade and trade relations," said Gujarat Chief Secretary SJ Hyder, Africa Day leader, said .
Hyder said more than 30 African countries will send their diplomats and high-level ministerial delegations to the event to be held Jan. 19 at the Gandhinagar Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Center.
